St Mary of the Lakes Council
Medford, NJ
Brothers,
Here is a picture for you of the event yesterday. I am glad you decided to take the next step. I have also included a copy of our events calendar, but keep in mind it is also on our website
medfordknights.org. You will also be receiving frequent emails about upcoming events. Just to reiterate, the sooner you get involved the sooner you will feel comfortable in your decision to become a knight.
I would also like to take another opportunity to thank our CUF degree team and also Father Roy. Even though it was a new ceremony, it went off without a hitch. Great Job!
Welcome aboard and may God Bless you all. Happy Thanksgiving.
Vivat Jesus

The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.6 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.
As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, the world's largest Catholic family magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal benefits.
Our council has been involved in charitable activities throughout its existence, raising money through various annual and special fundraisers. Our members assist many regional organizations and causes, both financially and with manpower.
Fraternal and Family activities range from our monthly social meetings, to annual dinners and get togethers. We are regularly called upon to assist the pastor with manpower to support parish activities and facilities. Support to clergy and seminarians are a special part of our program.
Youth activities include the annual Free Throw contest, basketball tournament, and scholarship awards. Here insert a paragraph or two about the benefits of being a member of your local council: Church Activities, Youth Activities, Family Activities, Community Service and Council Activities.
Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year after the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for membership in the Fourth Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies").
Certain members of the Fourth Degree serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.
Our council is associated with the John Tatham Assembly based in Delran, New Jersey.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus.
Please contact our council Membership Director for membership information or fill out the form below and our membership director will contact you.
