Annual Christmas Dedication Trees remained a success despite challenges of COVID-19 pandemic
St. Mary of the Lakes Knights of Columbus Council 6520 (www.medfordknights.org) raised $20,500 for its charitable activities and the parish school through its third annual Christ Dedication Tree fundraiser.
More than 200 trees lined the perimeter of St. Mary of the Lakes church grounds during the Christmas season. Each tree memorialized or honored a loved one. The Knights adorned each tree with Christmas lights and a laminated card with the honoree’s name. Many patrons further decorated their tree with personal ornaments.
The trees were removed in just 45 minutes by a multitude of Knights and children and teen volunteers from the Medford area. The Knights donated the trees to BNT Farm in Marlton, delivered by a caravan of trucks and vans. The trees will feed more than 25 goats until March, and the Knights plan to continue donating the trees in the future.

MEDFORD - 11-20-2020 Today in about 4 hours we successfully removed a damaged, rotting fence surrounding used clothing storage bins at the Village Thrift Shop and installed about 54 feet of new pressure treated wood fence.
Our installation team included members from the Browns Mills Council, Tabernacle Council and Medford Council, hopefully the first of many multi-councils efforts in support of the Christian Caring Center.
The store manager, Randy Holston, was extremely thankful for the work we did and he was especially excited about the added space provided by the addition of about 80 Sq feet to the fenced enclosure.
He also noted the neighbors would be pleased that the new fence now completely hides the rusting clothing bins as well as multiple recyclable bins and miscellaneous tools.
I can’t thank all of you enough for your hard work, expertise, tools and time to make this accomplishment possible.
One additional note - during the fence install PGK Mickey Zawatcki delivered a trailer full of non-perishable food items collected from the Saint Mary of the Lakes community over the past week to the Christian Caring Outreach Center. Madelyn Sutton was most appreciative for the timely delivery.
Also enclosed are before and after pictures of the fence project, team pictures and a picture of GK Bill Mazzio presenting a $1000 check, funds collected during our Hunger Harvest, to the Christian Caring Center which was accepted by the Thrift Store Manager Randy Holston.
Thank again brothers,
Jim Wilhelmi
